For me, birthday cakes are out of tradition huge heavy chocolate cakes filled with chocolate cream and just all in all soooo chocolatey you’re done with it for a year until the next birthday… or at least, you’ll be chocolate-free for a week or two (in case you’re a chocolate addict like me and consider chocolate as a meal in itself).
I just stumbled upon this wonderful post with the most beautiful cake ever seen on Hostess with the Mostess’ blog! A rainbow cake!
Now how cool is that?? I’ve never even seen anything like it, guess it’s not really a Luxembourg and Greater Region thing… but I decided it’d be test-driven in a month for my birthday. At least in that case, if I completely mess it up, I’m not disappointing my kids or any other birthday child…
